The Story Behind The Nachos Name

Simon Rincon has been an active resident of the Concho Valley for all his life. Most people in the San Angelo area lovingly know him as Mr. Nachos. Simon (Mr. Nachos) grew up on the Arden Ranch with the Mertz family. As a young boy he learned the value of hard work by helping his father, and his loving but strict mother. When he first moved to San Angelo, he worked for Los Gallos bakery at the young age of 12. There Mr. Nachos began his quest to learn as much as he could of the business trade. Later, at the age of 16 he began working at Mejor Que Nada restaurant, working his way from a dishwasher to general manager. Simon made many friends who later support his dream of being his own boss. On February 4, 2004, he opened Nachos Restaurant. Simon am grateful to the community that has opened the door to his success, and gives back to the community by supporting many charitable organizations like sponsoring The Boys And Girls Club, Corner-Stone Christian School, Calvary Chapel, KCRN Christian Radio, and Rehab For The Handy-capped. Mr. Nacho has always made it a personal mission that no one leaves his restaurant hungry, and it doesn't matter to him if they can pay or not - he has helped many people who have come to him in their time of need. Simon learned from his parents the true word of the Gospel and the truth behind his Grandmothers word, "God will always provide if you are good to him." The Rincon family has been his inspiration all his life, from hard times to family illness, there has always been food on the table. That is still true at Nachos. You are always welcomed with a friendly smile and enough food to take home when you're done.
